Deliberate Citizen is supporting "Let NH Vote", a grassroots effort to petition Concord to let NH citizens vote on making such an important change in our consititution.

The goal is to pass a petition through every town stating "Resolved: The citizens of New Hampshire should be allowed to vote on an amendment to the New Hampshire Constitution that defines 'marriage'." This petition- if passed- will be sent to the state representative, senator, speaker of the house, and senate president. It it is a brilliant way to communicate to our representatives what the people want.

So far, petitions have been filed with 134 towns in NH. Each petition has at least ten signatures- most have twenty or more. Please go to our NH Towns page, find out if your town is voting on this petition, and VOTE! If you would like signs or bumper stickers to post, contact us.

On Wednesday, February 17th, the House voted to NOT allow NH citizens to vote on a marriage amendment. To see how the representatives voted, Click Here. NO is the correct vote to allow us to vote on the amendment.
